The pallets are scanned and the exact set-down location in the logistics area is recorded by Ubisense software, which combines the position with the pallet identification number using middleware running drum garbage compactor under SAP. Forklift operators use a small terminal mounted in their vehicle to view the exact position of pallets and retrieve them for shipment. With the forklifts under continuous surveillance, errors and mix-ups are effectively eliminated. NASA: Observation satellite fails to reach orbit

The Taurus XL rocket carrying NASA's Glory satellite lifted off about 2:10 a.m. PST from Vandenberg Air Force Base, officials said .

But NASA said in a brief statement that a protective shell or fairing atop the rocket did not separate from the satellite as it should have about three minutes after the launch.

That left the Glory spacecraft without the velocity to reach orbit, NASA launch commentator George Diller said.

"The flight was going well until the time of fairing separation," Diller said. "We did not have a successful fairing separation from the Taurus and there was insufficient velocity with the fairing still on for the vehicle to achieve orbit."

The status of the flight wasn't immediately clear and flight officials didn't immediately respond to calls for further comment.

Glory was launched on a three-year mission to analyze how airborne particles affect Earth's climate. Besides monitoring particles in the atmosphere, it will also track solar radiation to determine the sun's effect on climate change.

The $424 million mission is managed by the NASA's Goddard Space Flight Center in Maryland.

Friday's launch came after engineers spent more than a week troubleshooting a glitch that led to a last-minute scrub.

Glory was supposed to study tiny atmospheric particles known as aerosols, which reflect and trap sunlight. The vast majority occurs naturally, spewed into the atmosphere by volcanoes, forest fires and desert storms. Aerosols can also come from manmade sources such as the burning of fossil fuel.

NASA suffered a mishap two years ago when a global warming satellite also destined to join the Earth-observation network crashed into the ocean near Antarctica after launching from the same kind of rocket that carried Glory. An accident board was formed to investigate and corrective action was taken to prevent future problems. A duplicate is now scheduled to fly from Vandenberg in 2013.

Investigators spent several months testing hardware, interviewing engineers and reviewing data and documents. The probe did not find evidence of widespread testing negligence or management shortcomings, Obenschain said.

NASA declined to release the full accident report, citing sensitive and proprietary information.

The loss of that satellite dealt a blow to NASA, which had hoped to beef up its space-based network of environment satellites. The $278 million mission managed by NASA's Jet Propulsion Laboratory was supposed to track global carbon dioxide emissions.

Internet traffic in Libya goes dark amid upheaval

The move, coming ahead of planned protests in Libya, appears similar to Egypt's response to the demonstrations that led President Hosni Mubarak to step down last month. The Libyan government controls the country's primary Internet service provider.

Arbor Networks, a Chelmsford, Mass., network security company said Friday that all Internet traffic coming in and out of Libya had ceased, starting at about noon EST Thursday (7 p.m. in Tripoli, Libya). Google's transparency report, which shows traffic to the company's sites from various countries, also showed that Internet traffic had fallen to zero in Libya.

Several days into Egypt's largely nonviolent protest, the government there shut down Internet access for almost a week. Anti-government protesters there had been using social-media services such as Facebook and Twitter to organize and share personal experiences of the unrest.

That wasn't the case in Libya, a country where relatively few people have Internet access. Only about 6 percent of Libyans have Internet access in the home or in public places, such as Internet cafes, according to the research group OpenNet Initiative. That compares with 24 percent of Egyptians and 81 percent of people in the U.S., according to OpenNet.

As a result, services such as Facebook and Twitter have played a marginal role in galvanizing anti-government protesters, said Jillian York, who coordinates the OpenNet Initiative, a research project run by scholars at Harvard University and the University of Toronto and by the Canadian consultancy SecDev Group.

Nonetheless, because the Internet isn't as central to everyday life in Libya, it is more likely that the few who can get online are educated, influential and using the Web to keep informed about politics, York said.

"You've got millions of people in Egypt using the Internet. It's not just the few people with access are reporting on protests. It's mommy blogging. It's all sorts of things not related to the protests," she said. "In Libya there's a stronger chance they'd be focused on what's happening right now politically."

But the blackout will affect even those who are not politically active. The loss of Internet access will make it more difficult for Libyans, particularly those living in the capital of Tripoli, to receive updates about the uprising in other parts of the country, said Leslie Harris, president of the Center for Democracy and Technology, a Washington-based nonprofit that promotes free expression on the Internet.

"For the people not in Tripoli the Internet is not so central in what's become an armed rebellion," she said. "For the people in Tripoli it's going to further isolate them from people in other parts of the country and information about what's happening there."

In particular, an Internet blackout in Libya will make it tougher for people outside the country to know how the uprising is unfolding. That was likely the government's main motivation in shutting down the Internet in a country where people are more likely to communicate using cell phones, said Richard Esguerra, policy analyst with the Electronic Frontier Foundation.

"I think what it raises is illuminating about how desperate this act is," he said. "Shutting off the Internet seems to be one of the last things in the playbook in terms of a dictator that's being threatened by uprisings."

It was not clear on Friday whether cell phone service in Libya had been disrupted. Libya has one of the highest concentrations of cell phone users in Africa. The Libyan government owns the country's two mobile phone operators.

When I first started out and was taking a tutorial on setting up online marketing, the subject of blogs came up. It was suggested that a blog was a very good tool for marketing and making yourself known on the WEB. The program suggested starting with WordPress. I had never heard of WordPress so I went to the WordPress site to find out what it was all about.

This was all new to me so I followed instructions on the site and presto...I had my first blog set up in a few minutes. It wasn't pretty and I had no idea what I was doing. The interface was new, the tabs were a mystery and the general functions available were a guessing game for me. That said, I forged ahead, wrote a post and then tried out different tabs and selections to see what would happen.

What I didn't realize was that there are three varieties of WordPress, and you should know that upfront, so you can decide what works best for you. I learned of these 3 options later when I used another tutorial and set up another WordPress blog on a host site.

So what are those three options?

Option One

The first one I'll mention is one that doesn't concern the individual affiliate marketer but you should be aware of it. It's called WordPress MU. MU stands for Multi-User and it allows you to run several hundreds to thousands of blogs on one domain. It really applies to corporations, groups, organizations or maybe super affiliate marketers that have their own servers and run a network of blogs. Until you reach that scale you needn't know more than that about WordPress MU.

Option Two

The next option open to you is WordPress.com. This is the one I first used. It is hosted on WordPress servers and offers an easy to use template you can follow to start your first blog. You can choose your own user name to individualize your blog and it will get assigned to the WordPress domain. For example, if you choose to go with your name to set up the blog, your domain would look like http://www.yourname.WordPress.com. This assumes your choice was available.

Another point to remember is that on WordPress.com you are subject to the guidelines of your host. That means that commercial applications such as Google Adsense and other plug ins used to create revenue streams or optimize for search engine discovery, are not available. The blogs are really designed for open and useful communication without the volume of commercial and affiliate selling that takes place on other blog environments. This isn't to say that you cannot create links to affiliate programs and place some banners, but the WordPress.com blog is not the most optimum environment to run a marketing based business. The next option is best suited for that purpose.

Option Three

The third option is the one used by most affiliate marketers who set up their business on an independent hosted environment outside of the WordPress hosted site. It's called WordPress.Org and is software that is downloaded to your own Web server to run on your domain. It is often accessed through the Control Panel of the Web host you have selected to use in your business or blog. Some free hosting services may not offer the Control Panel feature so you have to follow what ever process they use for downloading blog software.

In the case of WordPress.org, the software offers greater flexibility that WordPress.com and allows you to download plugins that are not available to WordPress hosted blogs. For example, you can download Google AdSense ads mentioned earlier or Google Sitemap which allows search engines to find and index you more efficiently so you can place better in search results. You can place html code to more effectively design web pages for commercial application in affiliate marketing campaigns. In short, it offers more options and better capabilities for running a business than WordPress.com. It is the option that you will come to by default when setting up a blog from your host site. You will notice a different set of options such as a plug-in add on feature that is not available with WordPress.com. In summary, this is the option you will find most suitable for affiliate marketing. It gives you more ways to create revenue streams for a business.

Depending on your objectives for blogging, these are the three options you can select from when considering WordPress. profile, high end products, are being promoted by every top marketer in
existence. Do you REALLY think that as a beginning marketer you have a
chance against these people? You certainly don't, especially if you make
any of the other mistakes on this list. However, to give yourself more
of a chance, don't jump on the product du jour.

Next on the list is ads. I marvel at some of the ads I see for these
products. Why do I marvel? Because they're all the same. The only thing
different is the affiliate link in them. Oh come on, you know it's true.
You write to the merchant, ask him to send you some ads, he gives you a
link to get your "affiliate tools" and you copy and paste the same ads
that everybody else is sending, changing nothing but the link. Yeah,
that's really going to make you stand out and get your share of the
sales...not. So for crying out loud, write your own ads.

Finally, there's the means of promotion that affiliates use. They either
use the most expensive forms, such as pay per click, where to get a
decent position you have to spend a buck or more per click, or they use
forms of promotion that aren't worth squat. Look, if you're trying to
fight the pay per click wars in highly competitive niches, you're dead.
The heavy hitters will eat you alive. And using poor sources of
advertising is a total waste of time altogether. There are great sources
of advertising and great advertising methods that won't cost you an arm

TRANSPOSE A SONG BY SCALE DEGREE: For this method, you need to be familiar with chord progressions**. The steps to transpose a song in this manner are:1. Determine the scale degree of each chord. For example, if the chords in the song are: G / Am / Bm / C / Am / Em / D7 / G, then the scale degrees of the chords would be : I / ii / iii / IV / ii / vi / V7 / I. 2. Apply the scale degrees to the new key. To change this progression from the old key of "G" to a new key--"A", for example, just apply the scale degrees to the new key. The above progression in the key of "A" would be : A / Bm / C#m / D / Bm / F#M / E7 / A.

NOTE: This method works best if the chord progression of the song remains in the same key throughout the song.

TRANSPOSE A SONG BY INTERVALS: For this method, you need to be familiar with intervals**. The steps to transpose a song by this method are:1. Determine the intervals between the chords. For example: G to A is a second; A to B is a second; B to C is a minor second; C to A is a sixth; A to E is a fifth; E to D is a flatted seventh (or a major 2nd DOWN); and D to G is a fourth. 2. Apply the intervals to a new key. your crafts at craft shows? Following are the first four steps I would
take to getting your small business off the ground:

1.) Choose
the right craft – This part is easier said than done. If you have to
make a craft for $10 each, and you can only sell it for $12 at a craft
show, you probably aren’t going to be happy with the overall profit at
the end of the day. It is important for you to choose a craft that has
a low start up cost and a higher sale price – this is basic business
101. Something that only costs you $3 to make and you can sell for $10
is going to give your bottom line a huge boost.

2.) Set your
price right – This is just as crucial as choosing the right craft. In
order to set your price right, you need to know EXACTLY how much the
craft costs you to make. This includes all of the costs associated with
making and selling the craft: transportation to and from craft shows,
driving to get the supplies, the supply costs and even a little bit of
a labor cost, too. Once you have your costs fixed, then you can set the
retail price, and provide yourself a decent return on the investment.
You probably don’t need to make a fortune of your crafts, but it would
be nice to see a healthy profit at the end of the day.

3.) Lower
supply costs – Do whatever you can to keep the supply costs as low as
possible. This is where you are going to incur the most expense when
